Bell Park Blast

Hi-Bonjour Everybody!
Thanks to everyone who came to our Bell Park event. We has a great time hearing from Jessica about all the neat facts about the park. And we discovered a bike trail at the back of the park and smelled the wonderful flowers. We played some fun games, got a little wet in the process of our water event... and relaxed with a little downward dog(Molly was the best at this~ for obvious reasons!) and tried out some sun salutations.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in September at our next event. We will keep you posted.
Send us any information or events you think other newbies might want to join in on...
Aurevoir et a bientot,
Nathalie

New to Sudbury?--join the newbies at Bell Park

  1. Hi-Bonjour!!(message français à suivre)
Well-- we the newbies team (Pierre, Susa, Nathalie) have realized that it has been a while since our last meeting. Some of you came out to our Lake Laurentian guided walk back in June. We were rather busy in July- busy enjoying summer holidays... ie) Backpacking in Europe! and trying to build a strawbale home....
But we haven't forgotten about the Newbies!!

So here it is our NEXT EVENT!

Wed. August 24th, 2005 7pm-9pm
Meeting spot: In front of the Parking Lot across from the Sudbury Canoe Club--
Elizabeth Street

Jessica Watts will be giving a historical tour of the Bell Park. She used to work in the park organizing the special events and that's how she knows the history of the area. Furthermore, Jessica is familiar with the Bell Park as she has been coordinating the Youth Concert Series at Bell Park on Thursday nights in the summer. Free concerts for youth by local young musicians. But open to people of all ages. Bell park is also home to some wonderful beaches and other free events.

In the spirit of the Sudbury Newbies event, there will be some icebreaker games(may involve getting wet--if it is hot enough).
Once we know each other a little better we will have an Introduction to outdoor YOGA session. (not to worry--it is for beginners- just a little outdoor relaxation in a natural environment.
