And now for the update!
The Lake Laurentian Conservation Authority will provide us with a facilitator for our gathering on Saturday. Véronique will introduce us to the Education Centre at Lake Laurentian and then guide us along one of the beautiful trails, pointing out Sudbury's interesting flora and fauna. The Conservation Authority has a fee of $4 per participant. The money will be collected at the beginning of our excursion.
After our hike, we will enjoy our potluck picnic. Please RSVP so that we know how many people will be attending and what food will be brought. This is a picnic so nothing too fancy. A buffet of nibblers such as fruit, veggies, dips and breads would be great. And of course, no dessert shall be turned away.
We shall meet at 10am at the Nature Chalet (see PDF map) at the conservation area. Below are links to help you find the site. If you would like to carpool or need a ride, please contact us via comments to this blog or by calling 674-1685.
This will be rain or shine so please bring clothing appropriate for the weather and we shall see you there!
